ABOUT

I was fascinated by watches from the early childhood and when was 10 years old I asked my parents to buy me a „proper” watch. At that time only watches made in the Soviet Union were available on the Polish market so received a very small, ugly manually wound piece with brown dial and golden bracelet. The dial was so small that I couldn't read the time and besides of this the movement worked proper only directly after wounding what upset me every time I looked at the dial. That's why my big wish was to have a precise watch one day. I had to wait for it for a long time and till it really happened I „tested” few products from former socialists countries, included Ruhla watch bought during my study in East Berlin.
Since I started working as editor-in-chief at the Polish edition of Chronos in 2006, my knowledge of watches improved. And what is also important: many Swiss brands are present on the Polish market.
