ABOUT

After studying architecture in Berlin and Munich, I turned to journalism around the turn of the millennium. After completing my studies at the Springer School of Journalism and after a traineeship at Condé Nast Publishers, I served for nearly ten years in various posts at the men’s lifestyle magazine Gentlemen’s Quarterly (GQ ), where I first came into contact with mechanical watches and introduced the GQ Watches supplement into the booming watch market. I’ve worked as a freelance watch expert and journalist since 2012. Among other tasks, I’m currently responsible for watch-related topics for the global group of Axel Springer Publishers. Alongside that, I published a luxury kiosk for magazines and good food in Munich in 2013, the same year when I became editor-in-chief of the new men’s magazine MANUAL, which is published by Gruner und Jahr in Hamburg. My free time belongs to photography, electronic music and good design.
