A full time freelance journalist for 13 years, Anders Modig entered the watch sector eight years ago via writing about architecture and design. Soon he became editor in chief of Plaza Watch, a position he left in 2013 when he moved from his native Sweden to Switzerland. Since then he, among other things, conceptualised and co-wrote The Watch Book, a coffee table book for Tourneau on the American market. When he is not writing for publications in Sweden, England, USA and India, he is hard at work organising events and producing photoshoots for various clients in the watch industry.
Why did you join the Watchstars jury?
"When Thomas Wanka asked me to join the Watchstars Jury, I was honoured, and of course I accepted."
How has watches influenced your life?
"Well, through watches I ended up living in Switzerland, what more can I say?"
